Michael Sawka was born and raised in Pennsylvania.  His parents are first generation immigrants from Europe who are naturalized citizens and proud of that achievement.  His parents are both blue collar workers that have worked hard their entire lives and hope to retire comfortably.

Michael Sawka earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, a Masters of Business Administration in Technology Management from Drexel University and a law degree part-time while working full-time from Rutgers University.

Michael Sawka has served our country as a United States Marine prior to entering the Naval Academy and then served as a Naval Officer.  He currently holds a commission in the Inactive Reserves and serves as a Naval Academy Blue and Gold Officer in his local area.

He believes our politicians forget about the working class, who are the backbone of the country, when it comes to real decisions.  They talk a good game when they are asking you for your vote, but once they are in office they seem to cater to those who donated the most money to their campaigns.  This needs to change.

He will work hard for the county and help lead our politicians to work together for one common goal.  That common goal is to do the right thing for our county and not let partisan politics or favoritism to donors sway our politicians thinking or votes.  As elected officials, our politicians need to remember they work for the people who voted for them, not their donors.
